Relationships can be very fulfilling. Many strive to have meaningful relationships and positive connections in their lives. With the stress that comes with parenting, managing finances as well as past traumatic experiences, relationships can become overwhelming, dysfunctional and some times complicated. As a therapist, my goal will be to provide you with the tools and techniques essential to improving your relationships and enjoying your everyday life.
My name is Natalie Lewis and I am a Licensed Mental Health Couselor. I graduated with my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from University of Central Florida. I have experience working with individuals of all ages dealing with depression, anger, anxiety, trauma, grief, stress and life transitions. In addition, I counsel with couples, for premarital as well as marital issues; foster care, adoptive and blended family struggles; as well as victims of abuse. I have a passion for helping my clients feel empowered by their strengths and talents and to develop a desire to succeed.
Born and raised in Queens, New York, I am the youngest of three siblings. Growing up, I was exposed to living with the struggles that come with raising a special needs child as my eldest brother was born with a degenerative life illness. As a family, we would be in and out of the hospital multiple times a year and I could not understand why my brother could not play and or do the same things as our friends and I could do. I struggled with grief/loss when my brother passed away at the age of 38 and my father passed away from cancer before his first grandchild (my son) was born. Although, these experiences were hard, I learned coping skills and strategies that helped me to learn and grow through life. As a wife and mother of four children, I understand the challenges of parenting, marriage and work-life balance. I believe that having a balance in life is crucial to surviving from past life experiences as well as developing future relationships. I am here to guide you and/or your family through a process of healing and help you and/or your family to thrive.
